The Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit (FFCC), has partnered with UHS to host the spring color guard and percussion competition at the gym on Saturday, March 16th. The event involved over 64 color guard teams, which consisted of mostly high schools, middle schools, and a few independent teams. UHS color guard ranked 5th place out of 9 other competitors, with a total score of 76.500 points.

Each color guard team had months of preparation prior to the FFCC competition. “I feel like we had a really good performance – we put a lot of time and effort into rehearsals leading up to the competition. We cleaned up parts of our show that we needed to feel confident in, and before we knew it it was competition day,” said freshman Citlaly Perez.

Lake Howell HS earned 1st place, Sebastian River HS 2nd, Effingham County HS 3rd, Windermere HS 4th, University HS 5th, Lake Nona HS 6th, William R. Boone HS JV 7th, Wiregrass Ranch HS 8th, and Flagler Palm Coast HS 9th. You can read the full list of scores here
