On Saturday October 7, Hamas came into the Gaza Strip by air, land and ocean, and ambushed Israel launching 2,250 rockets and attacking 22 different locations. “The Zionist colonial occupation occupied our Palestinian homeland and displaced our people, destroyed our towns and villages, committed hundreds of massacres against our people, killing children, women and elderly people and demolishing homes with their inhabitants inside in violation of all international norms, laws and human rights conventions,” said commander in chief of Hamas military, Mohammed Deif, in a video claiming responsibility of attack.

Hamas militants raided Israeli homes, killing hundreds and taking dozens of hostages. Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu responded to this surprising attack with bombing of the Gaza strip after warning residents to “Get out of there now”.  Many residents tried to flee as the Israeli military shut all crossings between Gaza Strip and israel.

Israel declared war on Sunday and stopped any supplies from going into the Gaza strip on Monday. Netanyahu launched airstrikes hitting military targets as well as hospitals and communities.

Israel’s military has warned 1.1 million people living in northern Gaza to evacuate their homes, amid signs Israel is set to ramp up its retaliatory offensive against Hamas following the group’s October 7 terror attacks that killed 1,300 people.

Recordings of Israeli hostages being killed by Hamas, stating they will kill more if Israel keeps bombing the strip of Gaza without warning and a record of 11 Americans died in this blood shed.

As of  October 11, 22 Americans were killed but only 17 are accounted for. “There’s still so many families desperately waiting to hear the fate of their loved ones, not knowing if they are alive or dead or hostages,” the president Joe Biden.
