Varsity Football Falls to Oak Ridge

   The UHS Varsity Football team currently holds a 1-2 record with their recent loss against Oak Ridge High School with a final score of 6-38.  

  The football game started 0-7 in the first quarter but slowly went in favor of Oak Ridge with 0-10 in second, 0-26 in the third, and 6-36 in the 4th with senior Desmond Poulis making the first touchdown in the final quarter. “Oak Ridge improved in this school year and was able to score more on offense,” said Varsity football coach Mark Barrett. 

  The team was able to start the season off strong with a 28-0 win over Cypress Creek. “We ran the ball and we played well against them physically. We were able to play well on defense,” said Barrett. 

   The team’s next game against Winter Park on September 14th, making this their first conference game of the season.
