Taylor Swift put on a magical three sold out shows for her Eras Tour in Tampa at the Raymond James Stadium April 13-15. Artists Gayle and Beabadoobee were the openers on Thursday night and Gracie Abrams and Beabadoobee opened the remainder of the weekend. The more than three hour show consisted of a set list of 44 songs from many of her album “eras”, ranging from Fearless to her latest, Midnights. She also includes two surprise songs she plays acoustically, that fans could not  get enough of. Tampa fans were definitely some lucky ones when it comes to their surprise songs with fan favorites like “You Are On Your Own, Kid” from Midnights, “Speak Now” from Speak Now, and “Mad Woman” from Folklore. Swift even brought Aaron Dessner, a frequent collaborator on her recent albums, to the stage for some of these surprise numbers.

No matter where your seat was, you were in for an amazing night. The stage itself was a show, with a variety of projections making the experience all the more entertaining. The light up wristbands everyone wore in the stadium made the experience all the more magical. Everyone in the audience was linked as the colors lit up.

Taylor Swift knows how to put on a show. The concert was entertaining at every turn, with even every era having at least one costume change. Her voice was powerful throughout the entire concert, a large feat for a performance that long. The choreography between herself and the backup dancers was also wildly fun to watch. Swift not only had costume changes, but also set changes. From the Folklore Cabin to the stage rising from the ground to even her diving into the stage.

It was amazing to see all of Swift’s fans dressed up in outfits and costumes representing various music videos, albums, and even fan jokes throughout her career. Many UHS students had the opportunity to attend the concert. My favorite part of the night was the folklore era. I loved the set they had and her outfit during that era,” said junior Aliza Siddiqui.

It was definitely difficult to obtain tickets to this concert due to the Ticketmaster fiasco that happened earlier this year. Ticketmaster has been under fire since tickets went on sale due to numerous issues with purchasing. However, those in the audience would definitely say it was worth the stress for the show that they received. “The experience I got at the Taylor Swift Era’s tour is a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget. The stress I felt buying tickets was completely worth it for such an amazing show,” said junior Landon Lewis.
