This night of April 26, often one of the most anticipated events of high school, brings together memories that last a lifetime. This year’s prom, themed A Royale Affair, was no exception, offering an unforgettable experience for all students. From the excitement of campaigning for prom king and queen to the fun of dancing the night away, this special evening had something for everyone.
After two weeks of campaigning, Christopher Garcia, a senior who worked tirelessly for his chance to be crowned prom king, reflected on the rewarding outcome. “It feels like a big relief off my shoulder after two weeks of campaigning,” he shared. “My hard work paid off, and this is a great accomplishment, knowing I had the majority support with all of this.” For Garcia, winning prom king was more than just a title—it was a milestone in his high school journey. “This was a big milestone for my high school memories, and I will cherish this victory forever.”
Prom Queen was Neah Coleman who took the title with honor. This had marked a significant moment for her last high school experience. “Having the opportunity to run and win prom queen felt like an honor,”said Neah Coleman.. “It was so amazing to hear the cheering of people supporting and happy, even the ones who I didn’t personally know, that I had won.”
For many students, the night’s festivities were full of fun and surprises. Junior Omarys Colon, who attended prom, enjoyed the experience, even if it came at a price. “Prom was a little overpriced for me, but the overall experience was fun,” said Colon. “The highlight of my night was the food. Although there wasn’t much of a variety, the food was still amazing to have.”
Junior Class Cabinet members planned and hosted the prom, a process that began at the beginning of the year. Lead by new sponsor Mr. Mathew Valdez, JCC cabinet members worked hard to create a memorable night for all. “JCC organizes members into groups with each group having different responsibilities for prom. I was responsible for the prom court making sure everyone who was running for court followed the rules and had their posters up and taken down at a certain time,” said Isabel Reyann.
The prom brought its heartfelt moments and unforgettable memories and truly lived up to its theme: A Royale Affair. Whether it was the excitement of winning, the thrill of dancing, or simply cherishing time spent with friends, this prom will remain a cherished milestone for everyone involved.
