Grad Bash is a celebration for high school seniors. Friday April 4th, was when seniors went to Universal Orlando Resort. Seniors enjoy an exciting night with their friends in Florida while also seeing people from other schools as well.
This event is a graduation celebration with exclusive, private access to both Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. Event hours were from 7:00 PM to 2:00AM. There is a strict dress code that is enforced for this event, students are expected to wear comfortable clothing while also not wearing any tank tops, crop tops, shorts having to mid thigh and shirts have to be with no logo or school logos.
Grad Bash is an amazing experience to have during your senior year such as being able to forget about the stress from school and college applications. Making important memories on the rides with your friends and being able to talk to friends that you barely talk to at school. “Being able to forget about all the stress about colleges and school, making memories and having fun with people I don’t usually talk to at school,” said senior Amelia Javier. For some students it is their first time going to universal, friends show each other what fun is all about in an amusement park. “My friends showed me what fun was all about, as it was my first time ever being in this park. I got to go on so many rides and try new food places,” said senior Cristina Tran.
Although it’s such a fun experience to have during your senior year there is always an issue with how to leave when the event has ended. “The organization could’ve done better because of how we were standing outside the gate for so long to leave,” said Javier. Unfortunately when leaving the event it doesn’t happen in a timely manner, some students didn’t even come home until 5AM.
