The Varsity Flag Football team lost their most recent game against East River High School with a close score of 16-21. The team currently holds a record of 1-6.
The loss was a setback for the team who won their game against Cornerstone Charter Academy on March 13th.“It was good because we got our first win of the season and it was really big to get a win,” said senior Brianna Pagan.
The game against Cornerstone, whose final score was 12-6, came as the players are improving their skills on the field as they work with a new coaching staff headed by Coach Tamra Harris. “The defense played really well to prevent scoring from Cornerstone,” said junior Diya Patel.
Despite some setbacks, the girls have been working diligently to develop strategy. The team continues to strive for improvement as they prepare for their next game against Colonial High School.
