The Girls Varsity Cheer team has officially won the 2nd place title in the State Championship. After a strenuous season, the cheerleading team has come a long way and earned their place as they prepare for next season.
The team is excited to celebrate following their recent ranking in the state championships. “I feel very accomplished because we so far have been getting 4th in a row and breaking that streak felt very rewarding,” said senior Ashley Guisao. The girls gave their all of their effort to this competition and have has been devoted to improving for it.
The team primarily focused on execution and technique during the competition since these were the key components to placing higher. “Execution and technique were worth 10 points, the stunts and tricks we made sure to score high,” said Coach Sterner. They made sure to perform at their very best with the aid of positive reinforcement and teamwork.
The team has done an incredible job this season demonstrating their expertise and skill during competitions as well as practice. As this season comes to a close, the girls reflect on their past performance as they work towards furthering their goals and achieving success in the sport.
