On President Trump’s second first day in office he made history signing the most executive orders of any president. He has secured over 100 trillion dollars in new investments, 500 billion dollars for the largest AI infrastructure project in history. Trump plans on securing the border and arresting illegal immigrants. He also signed an executive order to end birthright citizenship, delay the TikTok ban, and pardoned over 1,500 Capitol rioters.
Trump withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement, which has caused uproar amongst many citizens. The President revoked over 80 orders that Biden’s administration had put in place. This includes many regulatory practices that were put in place for AI. Another plan was put in place to erase transgender affirming medical care for individuals under 19 years old. In his second week in office, he planned to stop all federal aid. Putting all DEI government employees on leave and eliminating the practice of DEI.
Regarding trade, the President said he plans to impose 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada starting February 1st, but declined to state his plans for taxing Chinese imports. Trump also signed an executive order to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Along with renaming the Gulf of Mexico, he is renaming the highest mountain in North America, Denali, back to its original name Mount McKinley.
