The University High School Girls Varsity Soccer team has faced a challenging season with a record of 4-10, and a rank of the 2060th in the country. Regardless, the team remains determined to push forward and continue improving.
Despite their struggles on the field, the team strived to put their best foot forward. “Even though we have lost a few games, we are playing against tough teams,” said Freshman Lina Ramirez. The players have worked hard to improve their skills before, during, and after their matches, hoping for a better outcome in the next season.
One thing that has helped the team grow stronger is the bond they have formed throughout the season. “Being on the team made me feel closer to everyone on the team, the freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors,” Ramirez said. The players have come together not just as teammates, but also as friends, which has made their hard work during practices and games more rewarding.
As the season draws to a close, the players are not only improving their performance as a team but growing closer to each other. They continue to enjoy the game and look forward to building on their skills for the next season.
