Tennis Team Swings Through Spring Season

The boys Tennis team wrapped their season with a 5-9 record. Their most notable wins were against Freedom, Cypress Creek, and Oak Ridge. Meanwhile, the girls season ended with a 4-9 record, beating schools like East River, Ocoee, and Wekiva.

The season started off strong with the team advancing to the district competition.”The team won against who we thought we could beat. Most of our players were able to get through the first round at districts because the top seed players for singles would be at the top and bottom of the bracket,” said Head Coach Centoducati.

The team plans to make improvements based on their performance in previous matches. “I would have the team work on individual skills like serving or preventing making a fault. My job as a coach is to be able to have them be able to hit the ball back. I basically become a ball machine when it’s time for practice.” said Centoducati.
