University High School’s girls softball team had a challenging spring season. Their overall record was 1-21.
The team displayed dedication throughout the season, with a sole yet sweet victory over Jones High School. However, they lost the remainder of their games. Despite this outcome, the girls still gained valuable experience out of their performance on the field. Each game encouraged perseverance and teamwork among players.
The players learned important lessons throughout the season, utilizing their mistakes to motivate them for the next game. “This season has taught me that no matter what happens, always maintain a positive attitude. You will have many failures in life, but how you handle those failures is what matters. Not allowing failures to ruin everything rather than motivate you to thrive,” said Head Coach Nieves.
As this year’s season comes to a close, the team maintains a positive outlook on their future.
