On Friday, January 19th, the Boys Varsity Soccer Team won their game against Lyman High School at an away game with a final score of 3-0. This game follows another impressive win against Wekiva High in a home game on January 16th with a score of 4-1.
These wins are a reflection of their successful season- currently holding 8 wins over some very competitive challengers. “The team has improved tremendously this season. We are currently 7-7-1 which is over three times better than last season. Our seniors did a fantastic job with their leadership skills while many juniors and a couple sophomores made big contributions,” said Varsity Boys Soccer Coach, Mark Hamley.
Coach Hamley continued on saying, “I was very pleased with our performance against Wekiva. We started with all six seniors and they moved the ball around very successfully. We were able to keep possession for the majority of the game and created many goal-scoring opportunities.” The team’s regular season will end on January 25th with a game against Winter Park High School.
