Varsity Bowling’s match against Oak Ridge and Lake Nona, resulted in each team winning their respective matches. The overall season has been a success for the girls thus far, with a record of 6-7. The boys team has struggled with a season record of 5-10. “I think the whole season’s going great overall. We’re a young team and still we’re performing really well,” said Coach Ed Lebeda.
Mackenzie Calkins, a senior who was the highest scorer in the match, believes that both the girl’s and boy’s teams can strive to heighten their skills. “I think we did great at that game and I’m hopeful that we still can improve our techniques and do even better next time,” said Calkins.
Despite having lost a few matches this season, the team has stayed optimistic and enjoys their games regardless of the outcome. “I think we did pretty good, we’ve been doing well this whole season and I’ve been having a lot of fun,” said freshman Tino-Tri Phan.
